Popular fictional characters can tell us a great deal about our collective realities, showing us what fascinates and frightens us, and what gives us hope: themes set by the outer planets. While we can learn a great deal from historic events and people, the energies of Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto express themselves in their purest form – unimpeded by the complexities of real life – in popular fiction. In this fun and informative talk, we’ll follow the evolution of our most outsized characters as they track the movement of the outer planets from the Neptune/Pluto conjunction of the 1890s to today.
