Why do you love astrology?
I love astrology because it helps us appreciate how intentionally made we all are. If the stars have been there for eons and they reflect the time we chose to come into being, then we were always intended to be here and we have incredible purpose and permission to be true to ourselves. It's hard not to love the person in front of you when you realize that.

I can’t remember a time when I was not curious about astrology. In the late 1960s I read Linda Goodman’s Sun Signs, which spurred me on. From that time, I bought every book I could find on astrology. It was a different time and you really had to hunt them down. Then I discovered NCGR and quickly recognized that I could learn astrology in a proper way through this organization.

Why do you love astrology?
It never ceases to amaze me. I know that I can never know it all. Each horoscope I cast is like a new adventure. Each personal transit is like, “Wow, the books never told me that.” Astrology is never boring. I look forward to the planetary shifts coming up. I know Uranus will surprise us all.
How did you get into astrology?
As a young mother, I was looking to better understand my two quite different toddlers, born 15 months apart. Over many months, a librarian friend had gathered psychology books for me, and in the last batch, she accidentally included a book on the astrosciences. This one book held more simple answers about my toddlers than all the others, and it opened an incredible lifelong path — all remarkably timed, as my progressed Sun was exactly parallel, and less than a degree conjunct, a natal first-house Uranus!

How did you get into astrology?
I discovered astrology when I was 14 years old during a trip to the public library. The Only Astrology Book You’ll Ever Need, by Joanna Martine Woolfolk, almost jumped off the shelf and into my hand. Learning astrology helped me develop self-awareness, which led to self-acceptance. I continued to study more seriously when I was in college. I attended development classes at a metaphysical bookstore in my hometown. On the weekends, they held spiritualist services, and I developed my psychic mediumship skills in conjunction with learning astrology. At the time, I never imagined it could be a career path, and I’m grateful for the mentors and teachers who helped me develop as a professional.

Why do you love astrology?
Astrology provides a framework for understanding ourselves, others, and our infinite connectedness. It helps us find meaning in the circumstances of our lives. It welcomes us into mystery and magic. I live in constant awe of the way the macrocosm corresponds to the microcosm. I’ve always been oriented to symbolism and metaphor, and astrology offers a rich symbolic language that appeals to my imagination. Using astrology, I can shine a light to help guide my clients, illuminating shadow aspects of themselves or helping them identify opportunities. It’s a powerful tool for strategic planning, self-discovery, and personal growth.

I have met lifelong friends through NCGR and am dedicated to the community I’ve found through this organization.
How did you get into astrology?
In 2003, both a significant relationship and a job that I loved ended, and for the first time in my life, I didn’t know which end was up. A friend recommended an astrologer. I was so amazed by her reading that I went back each year, and I grew more curious each time. I think it was year three when she showed me the ephemerides and explained transits. That lighted the fire. I started to study then and there, and I’m still at it.

My college roommate tacked an astrology calendar on the wall of our dorm room, and seeing the signs and aspects triggered memories of reading the astrology magazines my mother subscribed to in my youth. When I returned home for vacation, I raided my mother's bookcase and became permanently hooked.

How did you get into astrology?
Born into a family that did not do anything significant without consulting Astrology, I was fortunate to have it all around me. Why do you love astrology?
With astrology, you can use a snapshot of the sky to determine the flow of energy with all its strengths and challenges for any specific time. Although it can be seen as a blueprint, I don't believe astrology is fatalistic. It is more probabilistic - where the chance of a certain kind of event happening is higher at certain times.
How did you get into astrology?
I got into astrology at a very young age. My Scorpio great-aunt treated all of her Scorpio Sun great-nieces and -nephews a little differently because she knew who we really were underneath, so I knew early on who I “was.” I started reading astrology books in my teens and got a printout of my chart for the first time after I graduated from high school. I’ve been hooked ever since then.

One of my favorite things is mentoring others and helping them grow. While I have no children of my own, I have quite a big chosen family with a myriad of different titles, including friend, goddaughter, adoptive daughter, niece, nephew, student and mentee. No matter what you call them, I am exceptionally blessed to have all of them in my life — I am humbled and honored to serve them.
Why do you love astrology?
I love astrology because to me, astrology is empowerment. My job as an astrologer is not to make decisions for others, but to provide ways for people to use the information I share to their own benefit. It is an amazing tool that so many are now turning to, and it’s a wonderful feeling to have a skillset making a positive impact on the lives of others.

How did you get into astrology?
At seven years old, I received the gift of new stationery from a Zodiac Sign collection; Derek and Julia Parker’s The Compleat Astrologer was the coffee table book I loved to thumb through at home. Writing to pen pals and friends was a thing then, and the letterhead had my Sun-sign glyph, which I practiced at length to get the hang of the goat hoof/fishtail symbol. I rediscovered that book on a shelf seven years later and read it again with a better understanding and piqued interest.

Being an astrologer is to be of service to the collective. We are — all of us — part of a larger pattern, like the scalable images contained in a hologram fragment that contains the entirety of the hologram itself. I love astrology as it provides symbolic language that can transmit myriad information by focusing on these holographic factors of people, position and phenomena for a better understanding of oneself and one’s place in time and space.
