Your Path to an Education in Astrology Begins Here!

The NCGR Education program

For more than 50 years, NCGR has provided the astrological community with its premier course of study. NCGR offers astrological education in a range of formats and platforms, including webinars, in-person and online classes and, soon to follow, instructions in other languages. The NCGR online education courses are offered at four levels, from beginner to the most advanced, following the structured curriculum set by the Professional Astrologers Alliance (PAA). The classes are live with interactive instruction. You will not be asked to learn from prerecorded videos or other material. Class participation opens the door for building friendships and professional associations with other astrologers. Go to the NCGR class listing to get the detailed curriculum. You may study for personal enrichment or to prepare for the four-level professional certification exams, which are offered independently by PAA. Certification enhances an astrologer’s reputation within the astrological community as well as with clients. Please note that the NCGR education program does not require testing. In summary: Education is offered by NCGR, and testing is provided by PAA.

History

Education was the foremost goal when the National Council for Geocosmic Research was established, and a group of pioneering NCGR astrologers met to develop an astrological curriculum. After much discussion and debate, they composed a four-level syllabus to be taught by professional astrologers at NCGR chapters throughout the U.S. and, eventually, around the world. By the 1980s NCGR attracted students and scholars, from beginner to advanced. and now NCGR courses prepare students for certification through PAA.
