Carl Jung stated that ‘Whatever is born, or done, in this moment of time, has the qualities of this moment of time’. Astrologers make associations between the birth time, and therefore the time sensitive Ascendant and angles of the birth chart, which describe the qualities of the cosmos at the time.
In this research group we will explore how planetary positions and aspects in the birth chart may describe the birth experience for the individual using astrological symbolism and interpretation. Using qualitative methodology, we will be using questionnaires and interviews to survey people to compare the astrological symbolism at the exact time of birth, to the birth experience.
The goal of this group is to collect qualitative data from questionnaires and interviews on the nature and experience of birth by individuals. Guidelines for data collection will be gathered and together as a group we will create a thematic analysis to explore the correlation between planetary placements and the birth experience.
