A Moment in Time

I’m writing this on the Taurus Full Moon, with Uranus conjunct, and Saturn stationed direct. This is a moment in time on the verge of major change. As astrologers, we have the gift of anticipating these times and using them to our advantage. For example, we have been working on this new website for many months and to be launching it now, seems fortuitous. In this case, I hope you’ll agree, this change is good, and that you’ll find it Taurus-useful and functional with Venus-esthetics. It is the first phase of our webinar rebuild, so know there are more improvements to come. It’s a start and with Saturn in Pisces the manifestation of a dream.

Another example of positive change is the introduction of our first Special Interest Research Group (SIRG). The acronym carries the energy of NCGR surging forward. I am excited to welcome Amy Angelo and Lori Kaufman who are leading this new Asteroid SIRG, with Demetra George serving as the advisor. I’m visioning this as the first of many, providing a container to gather with others of like interests with a focus on research. These will not only build community, but also contribute to the credibility of astrology. If you’d like to dive deeper into the study of asteroids, be sure to sign-up for the Asteroid SIRG, (Can we insert a link to the SIRG page here?) or if you have a particular area of interest, please let us know. You can email me at: President@NCGRAstrology.org. The SIRG’s are free and another benefit of membership.

For those of you who’ve told me that you’d like more opportunities to publish, besides our journals, I’m inviting you to contribute to this blog. This is a forum for our members to have their voices heard. We’d like to keep this blog diverse and informative, so please feel free to submit your articles to: BlogEditor@NCGRAstrology.org.

As we enter this time of major changes, it’s easy to get caught in fear. Change can be scary for sure, but it can also be exciting. I’d like to leave you with a few of my favorite quotes about change:

“Change is inevitable. Growth is optional.” ― John C. Maxwell

“I cannot say whether things will get better if we change; what I can say is they must change if they are to get better.” — Georg C. Lichtenberg

“If we don’t change, we don’t grow. If we don’t grow, we are not really living. Growth demands a temporary surrender of security.” ― Gail Sheehy

“The greatest discovery of all time is that a person can change his future by merely changing his attitude.” — Oprah Winfrey
